Eligibility

The Applied Data Fellowship is open to graduates who have permanent work authorization in the US and also candidates who are eligible with an OPT card or similair volunteer work visa. Exceptional candidates will have a good understanding of the policy domain, strong data analysis skills, and a deep desire to innovate and operationalize programs within the government and nonprofit sectors to achieve impact.

Placement

Fellows will be directly embedded within local, city, and state governments, large non-profits, and social impact organizations in the US. Over the course of one year, fellows will work to help translate data-driven insights into actionable policy recommendations, new programs, and operational changes for the partners they serve.

Training & Support

Fellows will have access to one-on-one career counseling and management support throughout the year for assistance with project needs and post-fellowship opportunities. This fellowship will provide opportunities for leadership development, as well as access to a broad network of government, non-profit, and funding leaders.

Timeline

The typical duration of the fellowship is 12 months. Most projects start between June and October, but we have a number of projects with a January through March start as well. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and applicants are encouraged to apply early.
