Our
Model
We believe data only becomes good data when it moves through the pipeline to become a systemic result. Our model bridges the gap between the math and the mission to turn analysis into coordinated action.
The Applied Data Fellowship
The Applied Data Fellowship is a highly-selective, 12-month program that embeds early career professionals with strong data skills into local government and nonprofit organizations across the United States. Fellows spend one year working to design and implement high impact programs, and will work to help translate data-driven insights into actionable policy recommendations, new programs, and operational changes for the partners they serve. In addition to hands-on experience implementing data insights and working closely with senior-level stakeholders, Fellows receive managerial oversight, mentorship, and technical support in the form of data analysis training and oversight.
01 — Scope & Embed
We partner with mission-driven organizations to identify core priorities and operational frictions. Together, we scope capstone projects designed to turn data investments into lasting impact. From a national pool of 1,200+ applicants, we rigorously recruit and embed elite Fellows for 12 months.
02 — Learn & Contribute
Fellows step into projects tailored to each partner's needs and clear the frictions that stall progress. They may analyze complex datasets through advanced statistical modeling and forecasting; visualize insights, engineer high-integrity data architecture, deploy machine learning models and LLM integrations; translate legislative requirements into service delivery.
03 — Co-Manage & Succeed
Our dual-focus model provides partners with outcome-driven results through expert oversight, while Fellows receive year-long mentorship. We provide the safety net that ensures every project leads to permanent systemic change.
